Can a Person be Gay and a Christian at the Same Time?

One of the greatest problems facing the church is how many Christians are so easily persuaded to change their stance on sexual ethics based on emotion rather than scripture. There is no place where this is more evident than the teaching that says one can be involved in a Gay relationship and be a Christian at the same time. The following article is the first in a series authored by Guy Hammond that will be presented in this newsletter in the weeks to come, arguing against this popular yet destructive premise.

We, in restoration churches, cannot make massive changes in doctrinal policy based on emotion, experience, or stories. The authority of the scripture must be paramount, both in the church at large and in our individual lives, whether the message is currently “in season or out of season.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
