I was wondering about 1 Thessalonians 4:11. Are all of us supposed to have a job where we work with our hands? I think this is a reference to manual labor -- which I have tried -- but I really don't think it is my gift. I'm going into sales, but this scripture bothers me. -- Frank Alford

No, I think what Paul is saying is that we should do something useful.  Make ourselves handy...  Not everyone in the world has hands (sadly). But you do. All the same, sales would be a perfectly good implementation of the principle. See Ephesians 4, where Paul tells us to use our hands not to steal, but to do good.
