I just wanted to know what would be your opinion regarding the sentences below, which I found at sex education website. "God never said that sexual information was a sin: male religious leaders did. There is no Holy Book (Bible, Koran or others) that says, "Information is a sin." In fact most say that knowledge is the true path to spiritual enlightenment. Having the sexual position, sexual techniques and the contraceptive information contained within this website is not a sin. It is what you do with that knowledge that has the potential for sin.

First, these sentences seem to be lumping Christianity in with the eastern religions. "Knowledge is the true path to spiritual enlightenment"! Though this sentence contains a grain of truth, it is more typical of Hinduism or New Age thinking than of Christianity or Islam, which it falsely describes. Moreover, the writer seems to have a problem with men. But I think there are a good few women who would disagree with this position, which seems to rely on the same arguments "free speech" advocates use to justify pornography.

But to your point: Jesus said he wanted us to be shrewd and yet innocent (Matthew 10:16). Paul said, "I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil" (Romans 16:19b). In other words, to some extent we need to be informed, yet to another extent we ought to remain uninformed. Think about that. Perhaps some "sexual" information is of help to a husband or wife in the context of marriage, but to post such information at a public site is blatantly wrong, in my opinion.
