It seems difficult for me to prove that the New Testament writings are scripture. The Old Testament is called scripture many times in the New Testament, but can we be sure we are right in using the term "scripture" for the New Testament as well? -- Marcel de Souza Morais

Yes, we can be sure that the New Testament is inspired scripture just as much as the Old Testament is. As you mention, the O.T. is explicitly called scripture over 30 times in the N.T. The N.T. writings are called scripture in a number of places as well. See 2 Peter 3:13-16 (Peter referring to Paul's words), and 1 Timothy 5:18 (Paul referring to Jesus' words).
