The sensational news: Codex Sinaiticus (c.325 AD) is now available online. All the news networks have picked up the story. For example, click here. It is being stated that the text of Sinaiticus is very different from our modern Bibles. This is not really true!

The texts are very close, although of course there are minor differences. For more on this, hear my audio series, How We Got the Bible. There is also a chapter on this subject in my upcoming book, Why Believe in God? (Harvest House)

The truth is, ancient manuscripts have been available for facsimile study for decades, though online is a new frontier.

Anyway, the story of Sinaiticus is a fascinating one, to say the least. Probably second in fascination only to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
