In response to your paper discussing the concept of "forceful men" and leadership, I felt it worth pointing out that the new version of the NIV, the TNIV (Today's New International Version), released in the past few months, has modified the wording of Matthew 11:12 in a significant manner and now seems to fit other translations such as the New American Standard: "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it." A footnote on violence is included: "Or been forcefully advancing." It seems the NIV translators have realized their error here. Prayerfully, the word will spread quickly so we can teach the meaning correctly. -- Jason Siikarla

Thank you for pointing out the TNIV modification. It is good to know that the translators realized their error.
