Church leaders from 16 congregations converged on Manila September 21-24, 2005, for the much anticipated AIM-Philippines launch.

Douglas Jacoby led nearly forty eager students, some having traveled four hundred miles across islands and ocean, plus the members of the Metro Manila Christian Church Teaching Committee, through four straight days of Session One: New Testament Survey and Interpretation. Whew! What an incredibly faith building and mind-expanding week!

AIM-Philippines is a dream-come-true for frontline Third World missions. The program was born of generous missions support from First World disciples, including the San Diego Church of Christ, combined with the biblical scholarship and teaching expertise of the Athens Institute of Ministry. This represents the most comprehensive, sustained ministry training effort ever attempted in the Philippine family of churches. Thank you so much, and praise God for everyone who made AIM-Philippines a reality. Our prayerful hope is that throughout our churches and our nation the glories of God will be proclaimed more effectively, more accurately, and more powerfully. Hallelujah!
